Kenobi concept art3/13/2023 There's a lot of speculation that Trilla could return for this show, but we reckon the more likely explanation is that this is simply a placeholder image from the early design phase of pre-production. Death is far from permanent in the galaxy far, far away, of course, but the character's demise did seem pretty definitive. ![]() The thing is, Obi-Wan takes place after Fallen Order in Star Wars canon, and - spoiler alert- Trilla doesn't make it to the end of the game. There have been persistent rumors that the show will feature one of the force-wielding Jedi hunters, but the one depicted here looks a lot like the Second Sister, Trilla Suduri, from the Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order video game. In addition to a first look at character designs for Kenobi and Darth Vader, one of the images clearly showed an Inquisitor alighting from an Imperial ship along with some Stormtroopers. McGatlin ( The Rise of Skywalker), Tracey Seaward ( The Queen), and John Swartz ( Rogue One).A sizzle reel for the Obi-Wan Kenobi series was released (well, leaked) online earlier today ahead of tomorrow's Disney+ Day, and the video featured some very interesting pieces of concept art. The Mandalorian director Deborah Chow is set to helm all episodes of the series, with Lucasfilm president Kathleen Kennedy on board as producer along-with Chow, Jason D. Their characters have not been announced, but some set photos did recently confirm that Varma will play an Imperial Officer. There are also rumors that younger versions of both Luke Skywalker and Leia Organa will appear, but that's yet to be confirmed.Ĭhristensen and Ewan McGregor and Ingram join Indira Varma, Joel Edgerton, Bonnie Piesse, Kumail Nanjiani, Rupert Friend, O’Shea Jackson Jr., Sung Kang, Simone Kessell and Benny Safdie. ![]() Specific plot details are under wraps, but we do know that Obi-Wan will be set between the events of Revenge Of The Sith and A New Hope. We will almost certainly see that classic Vader visage at some point, of course, but this is a great way to allow Christensen to show his face (well, his eyes) without completely contradicting the events of Revenge of the Sith.Ĭheck out the artwork in the Tweet below. The official description for the series reads, The story begins 10 years after the dramatic events of Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith where Kenobi faced his greatest defeat, the downfall and corruption of his best friend and Jedi. There's also an artist's rendering of a bacta-tank that was spotted on the set. Now, Disney+ subscribers can see the preview, which includes never-before-seen concept art for the series. ![]() Could this be a rematch between Anakin and his former. The image shows the Sith Lord wearing a new type of breathing apparatus which only partially obscures his face, suggesting that he'll be spending a significant amount of time without his traditional helmet. A new preview for Disney+'s Obi-Wan Kenobi show has revealed concept art that shows Darth Vader locked in a lightsaber duel with a Jedi. ![]() Well, thanks to some leaked concept art via, we now have our answer. Fans were pleasantly(?) surprised when it was announced that Star Wars prequels actor Hayden Christensen would reprise the role of Darth Vader for the upcoming Obi-Wan Kenobi Disney+ series, and have been wondering exactly how the iconic villain would be depicted ever since.Īfter all, Lucasfilm President Kathleen Kennedy made a point of confirming that Christensen would be playing Vader and not Anakin Skywalker, so why bring the actor back if he's going to be hidden behind a mask for the majority of his scenes?
